22/12/09. Well this is a bit of a change for me, It's not Italian. I'd spent the last few weeks looking for a Land rover Defender but after driving a couple decided they weren't for me. So by chance I came across this. I wasn't even going to go to see it but it was on the way to dropping my Mother-in law home. It's a 99 2.5 Turbo Diesel. Met silver with black leather and quite a few toys. The photo's were taken when I'd just got home. It had snowed the last few days making the roads a bit dirty. So the car's a bit dirty on the outside and does need a good cleaning inside to. It also needs a rear light panel as it's damaged and the parcel shelf is long gone.
31/12/09. Thoughts for the year. Considering I only bought it 2 days before Christmas day it's came in very handy as the weather took a turn for the worse and we had snow (a lot of it) for Christmas day. I'm not sure I'll hang on to it in 2010 when the good weather comes along (the Multi spoiled me for space and ease) but for now I'm going to enjoy driving it as it feels like it's built to last...
06/01. The weather has taken a real turn for the worse with a lot of snow, perfect.
21/01. Left the car in to a mates to get new timing belt, balance belt and both tensioners fitted, new of course. Not the best time to be doing it but I wanted them out of the way.
25/01. Got the car back. New balance belt, balance belt tensioner, timing belt and timing belt tensioner all fitted. So at the weekend I'll be giving the car a service to make sure nothing else crops up. It's going well now.
29/01. Hoping to service the car tomorrow so got new oil, fuel and air filters. I also got a new fan belt to go on. Got the air filter on so just need the weather not to be to bad tomorrow and I'll get the rest done.
30/01.Got the car serviced today. For the first time since buying the car I got a decent chance to clean it up. It came up well.
